Our thirteen (13) educator preparation programs at Berea College are committed to upholding the highest standards of excellence, as evidenced by our adherence to the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). CAEP is a national accrediting body that emphasizes evidence-based practices to improve the quality of educator preparation and enhance K-12 student learning. Our initial teacher preparation programs within the Education Studies Department fully meet CAEP standards and are actively engaged in ongoing improvement efforts in collaboration with local schools and key stakeholders.
