JoJo Startzman Wray is the senior administrative coordinator for the Marketing and Communications department. She graduated from Berea College in 2004 with a BA in English and a minor in Spanish. Seeking to combine her love of education as well as her expertise in administration, she advanced her career with employment at the University of Kentucky. After serving approximately one year in the college of Dentistry, she quickly found her newest passion working for the college of Public Health in the department of Biostatistics and Biomedical Informatics. There she stayed until returning to her alma mater in 2014.

At Berea College, she served as the executive assistant to the vice president for Alumni, Communication and Philanthropy. She transitioned in 2018 to the Marketing and Communications department to grow her marketing skills and began making processes more efficient and assisting the department’s various needs.

Outside of work, JoJo enjoys spending her time on her farm tending to the flower beds and natural landscape, growing organic produce, and cooking homemade gluten free food. She also has a passion for rescuing dogs; she and her husband have five fur babies at home.
