Olivia currently serves as a Philanthropy Officer at Berea College covering Tennessee, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Texas, and portions of the West Coast.
A native of Tennessee, Olivia received her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Georgetown College. She obtained her Master of Education degree from East Tennessee State University, and she is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration from Western Governors University.
Olivia is no stranger to Berea College as she served in the Student Life Office as a Coordinator from 2017-2019, working in first-year programming, residence life, and with the Black Female Leadership Initiative. Olivia has served in higher education for nine years. She most recently served as the Director of Alumni Relations and Major Gift Officer at her alma mater. She rejoined the Alumni, Communications and Philanthropy team in 2023. Olivia believes that Berea College accomplishes the true mission of what higher education should be in that the Berea experience creates life-changing opportunities.
Olivia currently serves as the Membership/Public Relations Chair for the Kentucky Association of Blacks in Higher Education (KABHE). She is also a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. Her husband, Ben, is also an educator and they consider themselves a higher education family. Olivia and Ben reside in Berea, Kentucky.
