Edithe Rose is a proud Burundian, first-generation college graduate raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She earned her B.A. in Sociology/Anthropology with a Leadership Development Specialization from Agnes Scott College.

What drew Edithe to Berea College was the opportunity to serve students who come from backgrounds similar to her own, particularly those from financially limited circumstances. She recognizes that admission to Berea is more than just an academic decision—it’s a transformative moment that reshapes the future, not only for the student but for their entire family. This is what brings her the greatest joy.

Fun fact: She is obsessed with the color yellow.
