As the Associate Vice President of Admissions, Luke Hodson oversees all work associated with the recruitment and selection of students for Berea College. Luke has dedicated his entire professional career to advancing educational opportunities for youth, primarily from the Appalachian region. He began his career at Union College (KY) serving in the Upward Bound program before returning to his alma mater in 2005 as an Admissions Counselor. Luke has since served in various leadership roles within the Office of Admissions. Prior to assuming his position of Associate Vice President of Admissions in 2019, Luke served as the Coordinator of Recruitment and Outreach, Director of Admissions Operations, and Director of Admissions. In addition, he serves on a variety of committees, including the Enrollment Policies Committee, the Committee for Socially Responsible Investing, and the Bonner Scholar Selection Committee.

Luke is a 2002 graduate of Berea College where he earned a B.S. in Business Administration. He went on to earn his M.Ed. in 2007 from Union College (KY). A native of Knott County in eastern Kentucky, Luke enjoys sports and spending time with his wife Jennifer, daughters Isabel and Adalyn, and their English bulldog, Shady.
