Ceramic Apprenticeship Program
The Ceramic Apprenticeship Program is a fusion of the Berea College Art Department and the Student Craft Program. Its mission is the education of student apprentices in studio production pottery. Students may combine labor and academic studies to achieve their individual educational and career objectives.
Facilities
The facilities for ceramics at Berea College are extraordinary. Each apprentice has adequate personal storage space for production and work. Equipment and technical support are available for throwing, handbuilding, mold making and extrusion. Eight kilns are available to support earthenware, raku, stoneware, salt and wood firing.
