We provide an individually-crafted scholarship package: Our counselors work with you to ensure that you receive all possible Berea Scholarships, adding up to your maximum FAFSA-allowed “Student Aid Index.”
- We provide a Berea Scholarship at a minimum of $30,000—this amount is added to all of your other scholarships to equal the maximum amount of aid Berea is federally able to provided.
- We work with you to maximize your Pell Grant, Work Scholarship, and any other state or local scholarships.
We are a Work College: We are a Work College model, providing the most comprehensive version of Work Study in the nation.
- Berea guarantees a four-year work position on campus—you gain valuable work experience and career preparations
- Your work scholarship helps to pay for your tuition “as you go.”
We rely on our endowment, friends, and donors: When Berea implemented its work college model in 1892, it stopped charging tuition. Starting the early 20^th century, Berea was fortunate to invest all incoming donations in its endowment.
- Berea uses proceeds from our endowment to fund our generous aid package, meeting 100% of your calculated financial need.
