When I was 20: Voices from the Appalachian Experience

This exhibit was created with the idea in mind to take several narratives from Appalachian history, from the very first Native Americans to settle the area to present day Latinx immigrants, and present each story in a way that showcased what people may have been doing in the region when they were twenty years old. The purpose of this concept is to break down stereotypes, shed light onto multiple perspectives, and create a multi-dimensional exhibit, as a representation of the multi-dimensionality of the Appalachian people, themselves.
