Berea College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award baccalaureate degrees. Berea College also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels. The baccalaureate degree program in nursing at Berea College is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, 655 K Street NW, Suite 750, Washington, DC 20001, 202-887-6791. The Kentucky Board of Nursing has granted the Nursing program Approval status.
The College is also accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE)/Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) for the preparation of elementary, middle, and secondary school teachers with the bachelor’s degree as the highest degree approved. Berea College is also accredited by the Education Professional Standards Board of Kentucky.
