Ashe Hacker is a Kentucky native from Greenup County, but also claims home in Southern Ohio. They graduated from Berea College in 2021 and obtained their Bachelor of Arts degrees in English, education studies, and psychology. Their Berea studies focused on Appalachian vernacular, Queer writers and writing, and adverse childhood experiences. During their time at Berea, they held labor positions in Dining Services, Knapp Hall, Admissions, and as a Teaching Associate for General Studies under Professor Feagan. As a hobby they enjoy acting, having been in the College’s Theater Laboratory productions of Dead Man’s Cellphone by Sarah Ruhl and having lent their voice talents to Forgiveness Comes After We’re Dead by Jay Stringer. They are a member of the Grant Professionals Association, the program associate for the LADO consortium, and a member of the LGBTQ+ Caucus.
