Bio

Born and raised in Rockcastle Co., I moved to Bowling Green, KY to receive my BA from Western Kentucky University (Go Tops!) in 2018. I spent several years post-grad living in Argentina with my husband. I started working in the Human Resources department at Berea College in 2020 as an HR Collegiate Partner. Over the years I’ve held many different roles within the HR department, which has been an excellent experience and allowed me to learn about many different aspects within the world of HR. I have my Foundations in Payroll Certification (FPC) from the American Payroll Association (APA). As the Manager of HR Systems and Services at Berea College, I am responsible for various HR functions, including implementing and maintaining HR programs, software and services, compensation policies and administration, benefit program management and execution, payroll management, organizational development systems and programs, Culture and Innovation, and HRIS management. I am also passionate about nonresident alien work visas and genuinely enjoy the treasure hunt that is an audit. My team and I support the College in all benefit, payroll and compensation related issues and policies. I am passionate about finding a better way to do every single process that comes across my desk (work smarter, not harder!). When I'm not creating beautiful SOPs or solving error codes in Banner, you can find me spending time with my daughter, husband and three cats, Obtuse, Acute and Right. We love the color green, long walks in the neighborhood, thrifting, iced chai teas and wondering around plant stores--one can never have too many plants.

Areas of Responsibility/Functions: implementing and maintaining HR programs, software and services, compensation policies and administration, benefit program management and execution, payroll management, organizational development systems and programs, Culture and Innovation, and HRIS management
